4 year-old GSRP Preschool

The 4 year-old Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free, school day preschool program funded by the State of Michigan. Families must meet income guidelines and/or qualify through additional risk factors.
Children must be 4 years old by September 1 of the school year in which they are enrolling. Children who will be 4 years old by December 1, may enroll by filling out a waiver.
GSRP Classes
- Tuition-Free with eligibility
- 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday)
- In-person sessions: 8:30 am - 3:36 pm
- Classes meet from September - June.
- Breakfast, Lunch and snack are provided.
To Apply for GSRP
- Sign up on the Fall Preschool Recruitment list found at www.southgateschools.com under ENROLLMENT.
- A parent/guardian will be contacted to conduct a screening interview over the phone and an in-take appointment will be scheduled.
- GSRP placements typically occur mid-July.
