What is the Grogan PTO?

The Grogan Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of dedicated parents and teachers that work together to sponsor numerous programs that are not funded by the state or school district. The PTO oversees both educational and fun programs and activities which provide a more exciting atmosphere for our students.

The funding for all of these programs and activities is provided through our large annual fall fundraiser and a few smaller fundraisers throughout the school year. Our major fundraiser starts at the beginning of the school year usually just before the school open house. Students will bring home packets containing information regarding this fundraiser. We ask for your support because without this fundraiser, all of the programs and activities would not be possible!

Below is a list of the numerous programs, activities, and items sponsored by the Grogan PTO:

          • Assemblies for the entire school
          • Field Trip Bus Transportation
          • Grogan Gazette - newsletter
          • Santa Secret Shoppe
          • Octoberfest
          • Field Day
          • Carnival
          • Talent Show and prizes
          • Student of the Month party and certificates
          • Fifth Grade Send-Off
          • School Dances
          • Family Movie Nights
          • Bingo for Books
          • Scholastic Book Fairs

          • Pizza/ popcorn/ ice cream parties
          • Holiday food drives
          • Playscapes upkeep and new purchase

These programs would not be possible without parent volunteers. We always need help. Whether you can head up a committee, donate a few hours, or do something at home.

Please join us! We want and need your help.

The PTO is a lot of fun and the children really enjoy and benefit from all the extra programs provided. Studies show that children whose parents are involved in their school do better. You can do your part by volunteering and/or supporting our fundraisers. We meet once a month at 6:30pm in the school library.

Thank you and we look forward to working with you.
