Below is a list of scholarships that have been announced to Anderson High School. Each is listed by due date of application. This is by no means an all inclusive list. November 30, 2017 - Elks National Foundation "Most Valuable Student" scholarship for 500 total scholarships.  Awards based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership skills, and financial need. Applications must be downloaded by visiting

December 1, 2017 - Leaders and Achievers $1,000 scholarship for students with a 2.8 or higher.  Demonstrated Leadership ability and Community Service through Comcast NBCUniversal.

December 15, 2017 or first 10,000 applicants - AXA Achievement Scholarship.  52 scholarships of $10,000 given out nationwide to seniors who are active in the community, led a project that benefitted others, and/or overcame personal hardship.  Visit

December 15, 2017 or first 50,000 applicants-  Burger King Scholar Award.  Must be a high school senior with a GPA of 2.0 our higher to apply.  Please visit website for more details.

December 31, 2017 - Easton/NFAA Scholarship Program.  High school applicants must be applying to be full time students at a two or four year college/university or a technical training college.  Applications can be found at

January 4, 2018 - GE-REAGAN Foundation Scholarship Program - Scholarship program for high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.  Apply online at or 

January 19, 2018 - University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit. Once again the University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit is sponsoring unique scholarship awards to twelve outstanding freshman applicants to the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. By completing the Scholarship Application, students will be considered for the Lloyd & Laurie Carr Scholarship Award, the Harold duCharme Scholarship Award, the David J. Hallissey Memorial Scholarship Awards, the Jerry & Anne Hanlon Scholarship Award, the James LoPrete Scholarship Award, the Frederick C. Matthaei Scholarship Awards, the Gary & Ann Moeller Scholarship Award, and the Elaine and Roger Zatkoff Scholarship awards.  Please encourage your students to visit to apply with our new online application.

January 26, 2018 - The Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship.  For more information on application, criteria, rules, and guidelines please go to 

January 31, 2018 - The Princeton Prize in Race Relations.  $1000 award for persons who are helping improve race relations in their school or community.  Please apply online at

January 31, 2018 - 2018 MCWT Scholarship.  Scholarship applications are now being accepted for high school seniors or current college/university students with a focus on a technology academic program. Must be female, a Michigan resident and attending a Michigan college or university for the 2018-19 academic school year. Application and details are located at 

February 1, 2018 - Special Tree Rehabilitation $1,000 High School ScholarshipProgram  to support and encourage local high school seniors pursuing further education in the healthcare field. Min GPA -2.5.  To apply visit our website at 

March 2, 2018 - NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter supports two $2500 student athlete scholarships for one male and one female high school athlete who attend a high school within Wayne County.  High school athletes who will not obtain an athletic scholarship or will play athletics at a school that does not give athletic scholarships are eligible.  Please check the site:

February 22, 2018 - MEA Scholarship award.  Selection criteria includes academic achievement, extra curricular activities, school and community service, and students from lower income households (given priority).  Access the full details and description at 

March 15, 2018 - The American Foreign Service Association.  High school students grade 9-12 are encouraged to apply.  Entrants are asked to take a critical look at how agencies cooperate under the rigors of international diplomacy.  For further details please visit www.afsa.orgessaycontest 

**Seniors make sure your SAT score is activated by contacting SSG (888-4-GRANTS or and providing your Social Security number. This is required for your qualifying SAT score to match with FAFSA results; which is the application for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship award.  The award will be matched to your first college choice listed on the FAFSA form.   This must be done before entering college!
