WGBH Teacher's Domain Resources for Science and Social Studies - netTrekker

netTrekker d.i. has partnered with WGBH to provide Teachers' Domain resources in the areas of science and social studies (specifically in the area of the Civil Rights Movement). Each of these resources includes a background essay and a connection to state or national standards. Most of them also have a short set of discussion questions. Many include lesson plans, as well. Most importantly, each resource includes a special media feature. This might be a video or audio clip, an interactive feature, an HTML document, a PDF document, or an image.

Weekly Reader Express Resources - netTrekker

Weekly Reader Express subscribers now have access to Weekly Reader Express resources integrated within netTrekker d.i.

Weekly Reader Express is a searchable compendium of articles, teacher's guides, and reproducible activities from eleven Weekly Reader classroom magazines--over 7 million words in all--from 2000 to the present. Written by experts who know children and how they learn, the collection covers a broad range of academic topics, from social studies and English language arts to science, health, current events, and career development, and can be used to build reading skills, help with lesson planning, and provide engaging, grade-appropriate information for students in elementary, middle, and high school.

Texas Instrument Resources - netTrekker

netTrekker d.i. has partnered with Texas Instruments Activities Exchange to provide resources in the areas of math, science, social studies, language arts, and world languages. These educator-created materials are housed in a collaborative forum where activities using TI technology can be shared. Each resource consists of a set of teacher instructions and materials accompanied by a file that can be downloaded. While free, these resources do require a graphing calculator in order to be accessed.
