The department of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment is responsible for ensuring that teachers and administrators are aware of the subject area content focused on benchmarks, grade level content expectations, and outcomes for student learning. Professional development stresses instructional strategies that work with students according to their individual learning styles.

Varied assessments measure how well students have learned the required lessons. Professional development of educators on an ongoing basis is a critical component of the teaching and learning process. All efforts are geared to continuous school improvement with the goal that students are being well prepared for post secondary education and the world of work.
